Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Finnigan Riley. He was a 1957 graduate of Christian Brothers Academy, and then served his Country in the US Navy. He retired from Ralph’s On The Park as a bartender. He was the dear husband of Mary-Jean Delehanty Riley; beloved father of Patrick Riley (Julie) of Richmond, VA and Bridget Riley of Manhattan; grandfather of Claire and Finnegan; brother of Frank Riley of Saratoga and the late Mary VanDenBurg and James Riley; brother in law of Marlene Riley, Doreen Waite (Richard), Diane Howard, June Springer (Kenneth) and the late Janis Lee Delehanty, Jane Riley, and Jerry VanDenBurg; several nieces and nephews survive. Funeral services Friday, February 5, 2010 at 9:45 am from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany at 10:30 am where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
